If stats count for anything, Jamie Silva made a great case for a roster spot with the Indianapolis Colts. Tonight, against the Bengals, Silva had 5 solo tackles.
Not bad for a kid from East Providence. Since I didn’t get to watch the game, I can’t tell you whether they came against the Bengals first or third team. And I can’t tell you how he looked making those tackles. But you can’t ignore the fact he had 5 tackles. Admittedly, he’s a rookie and has only an average chance of making the final roster. But it would seem that Jamie has left it all out on the field. Perhaps he makes the team on special teams, perhaps more likely is a spot on the practice squad.
